Drew Marine recognises top performing distributors
The world’s leading supplier of marine distress signals, Drew Marine Signal & Safety announces a successful 2015 Distributor Conference. The conference, which took place at the Atlantic Hotel Sail City, Bremerhaven, Germany, was attended by over 80 delegates representing both the Pains Wessex and Comet brands. Distributors were provided with an insight into Drew Marine Signal & Safety’s business, products and manufacturing processes.
As part of the conference, distributors were given a comprehensive tour of the Bremerhaven manufacturing site, allowing attendees to see the brand new €2m fully automated handflare production line for the first time and see first-hand the meticulous work that goes into manufacturing the high quality marine pyrotechnic products the Pains Wessex and Comet brands are renowned for. During the conference, awards were presented in recognition of performance, innovation and growth. Winners of the Pains Wessex awards were JJMM in the Canary Islands (received by Roman Martin) and SSPI / Survitec Group USA (received by Mark Hansen from DBC/Survitec Canada). The Comet awards went to Viking UK (award received by Peter Christensen, Global Purchasing Manager for Viking Group) and Technoship, Greece (received by John Lazarou).
Commenting on the conference, Tom Cessario, Drew Marine Signal & Safety President, said, “The conference gave us a unique opportunity to meet with our worldwide distributors to share business growth opportunities, common regulatory challenges for 2016 and tour our state of the art pyrotechnic production facilities.”
