supply chain professionals to showcase the latest operational technology systems such as freight transport logistics, telematics and eBusiness solutions, this “who’s whom” of international transport hosted 2,050 exhibitors and over 55,000 visitors this year. The event is increasingly international with 45% of exhibitors and more than 40% of visitors from outside Germany. MSC colleagues from a total of eight countries staffed the booth to help with visitors’ questions.
Nils Kahn, Chief Commercial Officer from MSC Germany observed:
“This year's participation in transport logistic was once again a complete success. Thanks to the numerous visitors, quality discussions and uniformly positive feedback we are once again very satisfied with the week in Munich.”
This year the booth concept focused on giving the maximum opportunity for networking. The specially designed meeting room was fully booked over the entire four-day event. In addition, a number of informal meetings with industry insiders and decision makers took place in the lounge and bar area where MSC’s famous warm hospitality attracted many comments:
“It is a beautiful booth with a warm welcome – very good for networking and transporting the brand spirit”
“Very good service with excellent food (Bavarian) and drinks served”
“It felt more like you were in a relaxing lounge area rather than at an exhibition”.
On the last day, the focus switched to MSC as a future employer when over 30 youngsters stopped by to make enquiries about apprenticeships, internships or job exchanges.
